Not sure if that makes any sense. My lessons aren’t giving me any problems (Destinos videos and Berlitz books and tapes), but then someone will ask me to say the simplest thing in Spanish and I either go blank or start using Italian words, so ... I don’t know.... I’m blaming it on the Italian, but it might just be my aging brain.
Gracias para la leccion, Ron. Olvidarse is reflive? Crud. I have enough trouble with the reflexives in Italian; seems like Spanish has a lot more. Btw, what is the "se" in "se me olividen las palabras"? Also, is there any rule for when to use "por" in place of "para"?
Damned show-off. The beaches look gorgeous, the weather looks perfect, and the young gals in the pics may make for some VERY interesting stories upon your return. My jealousy knows no bounds! Have a safe and happy trip bro!
On the bright side, you'll be in Mexico throughout the month of February! When you get back, I'll be living in Brooklyn.
Sara's going to have plenty of squirrel-butt to chase there, by the way. It's actually quite lovely and residential where we'll be living, and there are parks with dog runs and everything. Plus, the streets are full of shops not too far from the apartment, so she'll have plenty of socializing to do, too.
Have a great trip. What do I have to pay you to get a postcard...? ;0)
Unfortunately, Trav, the "turtle chicas" won't be going with us. Our group consists of a retired couple, a teenage boy and his mom, three 18 yr. old German girls, a 24 yr. old guy from Canada, and a 23 yr. old French girl. Lisa, great to hear your new digs are Sara-friendly. I was worried. Email me your address and I'll try'n send you (and Sara) a postcard (about $600 should cover it--see my post "new year blahs", for explanation).
